Well, The AT Show is up and running again.   Apologies to those of you who thought this blog would never be updated, but it’s been a frantic year.  Still, at least you can now tune in every weekday afternoon on ITV at 3pm if you’re putting your feet up with a cup of Earl Grey and a Rich Tea biscuit and actually see how I spend my time!

The new volume of memoirs ‘Knave of Spades’ (rather pleased with the title) is on sale and has managed to make the Sunday Times top ten – at number 7 – so that’s a relief.   I hesitate to drop hints as to suitable Christmas presents but…

The Seasons is now finished, too, - a series of four programmes on how our seasons affect the countryside, our weather, us, and everything else.  It’s scheduled for transmission in spring and I’ll keep you posted.

The next few weeks are packed with all kinds of great guests on The AT Show.  The favourite so far?  Phyllida Law (Emma Thompson’s mum) on Thursday 15 October.  She was an absolute riot and a great advert for older women when it comes to beauty – it comes from the heart, not the surgeon.  She was a star!  Look out for her book Letters to my Mother-in-law which is a real gem.   Another stocking filler!  Back soon…
